Now that online videos are all the rage, should you forget about advertising on cable television? According to the 2013 Advertisers Survey from placemedia, 89 percent of surveyed advertising executives across the U.S. still believe that television video impressions are more important than online video impressions. Plus, the survey shows video ads on cable television make small businesses look as big as national brands. Advertisers also believe cable advertising is a great way to deliver a message that relates to their viewers’ interests. For best results, incorporate cable television advertising along with your online video campaigns. There are two types of cable advertising: network and spot. Network cable means buying commercial time directly from a cable network to reach a national audience. Spot advertising buys you time on various cable networks in a specific market or geographic area. You can find a list of cable networks at Cable System Directory.
