Are you a woman business owner thinking about exporting your products or services internationally? Though exporting can be a great way to expand your market and your sales, it presents many daunting challenges—from finding new customers overseas to dealing with complex shipping and customs regulations.

To make exporting easier, a new nonprofit organization, Women Entrepreneurs GROW Global (WEGG), is here to help. WEGG’s mission is helping women-owned and women-led businesses learn more about exporting their products or services, grow their revenues, and create jobs so they can make an even bigger contribution to the global economy.

Although the group is based in Chicago, WEGG will help women business owners and executives throughout the country with online education and e-newsletters about exporting principles online. Chicago-area entrepreneurs can also receive one-on-one and peer group assistance, or attend a half-day local workshop tailored for busy business owners. There will also be full-day events.

“Since so much in life, particularly for women, is about confidence, WEGG will provide its educational services in a supportive, enabling environment for women entrepreneurs and women business owners so they can easily access global know-how anywhere in the world,” says Laurel Delaney, executive director of the organization.

No one knows how many of the world’s 126 million active female entrepreneurs are involved in exporting—but if WEGG achieves its goals, that number will definitely grow

WEGG’s first educational program is a webinar, “Getting Started in Exporting: Ready Your Business for Growth,” to be held on January 6, 2016. Learn more about WEGG and sign up for the January 6 webinar at www.womenentrepreneursGROWglobal.org.
