social media tools

I’m constantly looking for new and useful social media tools beyond the powerful features and analytics that are baked into social platforms. I also love social media dashboards that let you increase productivity and efficiency. But sometimes, you just need new “gadgets.”

After doing some research on the latest and greatest, I compiled a list of six awesome social media tools the pros use (including one clever hack!).

Adobe Spark

What it is: A tool that allows you to put your words and photos into social graphics and animated video.

Why use it: Because it was made for non-graphic designers.

AdWords + YouTube

What it is: At its most basic – a social media hack that involves connecting your AdWords and YouTube accounts.

Why do it: You can create lists of people who have subscribed, commented, shared, or liked a YouTube video.

How to do it: Open up your YouTube account. Click on Channel > Advanced. Scroll down and click “Connect to AdWords” (you’ll need your customer identification number).

Nuzzel

What it is: A content discovery tool.

Why use it: It aggregates top Facebook and Twitter stories and delivers them to you, making it easier to curate awesome content.

Ripl

What it is: An app that lets you create animated social media posts in a short video format.

Why use it: It’s ridiculously easy to use – and it lets you create custom video content!

TubeBuddy

What it is: A browser plugin that helps you optimize your YouTube videos.

Why use it: To improve your search ranking in YouTube.

Watson

What it is: Access to IBM’s Watson via its developer platform, Bluemix.

Why use it: Once you’re connected to this artificial intelligence platform, you can analyze pretty much anything (social media feeds, your blog, etc.).
